Director of Teaching and Learning
Emily is a passionate career teacher, having 22 years of classroom experience teaching English and History in senior schools. She has served in a number of leadership positions including Head of English and as the Director of Learning and Teaching Excellence at one of Australia's leading schools for boys, St Peter's College in Adelaide. Emily also has significant pastoral experience in student boarding, having cared for 90 adolescent boys for 7 years. She has a Masters in Education and is a University of Pennsylvania graduate from the Masters in Applied Positive Psychology program. She is passionate about character education and the building of positive workplaces and cultures. She has been delivering workshops at conferences ranging from the Australian Wellbeing Conference, the International Positive Psychology Association World Congress, to a Positive Psychology and Theology Symposium. Underpinning all her learning and work is a commitment to academic outcomes for students of all ages.
