In addition to an extensive classroom Physical Education program, our students learn to play a wide variety of competitive and non-competitive sports and from Year 7 participate each weekend in team sport representing the school. There are Inter-House sports competitions and other activities for students, as well as, our excellent recreation facilities, which are available for personal fitness sessions.
Year 5 and 6 students are involved in the timetabled Primary Sports Program. This program aims to actively promote positive participation and develop students' health and wellbeing through regular training and competitions against schools in the Geelong Region. Years 5 and 6 students are involved in Summer and Winter Sports including:
Summer: Swimming, Tennis, Kanga 8's Cricket, T-Ball, Volleystars
Winter: Australian Rules, Soccer, Netball, Basketball, T-Ball, Volleystars.
Year 4, 5 and 6 students are encouraged to be part of the College’s Swimming, Cross Country or Track and Field teams competing in Terms 1, 2 and 3.
From Year 7 students compete in the APS School Sport Program, students train out of school hours twice a week and compete each Saturday mornings, both in Melbourne and Geelong. All students are involved at a level which suits their ability, learning to stay fit and healthy, mix with a broad range of people, and to embrace their role as part of a team. They also learn to be disciplined and determined, as well as to be a good sport.
The school arranges student travel and encourages families to come along and support students as they represent the College.
As a member of the Associated Public Schools of Victoria (APS), we offer a wide range of sports including:
Competitive Equestrian, Fencing, Golf, Shooting, Snow Sports, Surf lifesaving and Surfing are offered in addition to the APS sports.
