Mr Greg Naylor

Head of History
Greg Naylor is Head of History at The Geelong College and holds a 100% Research-based MA in Ancient History (Egyptology/Archaeology). He has taught History in the IB, VCE and at A Levels in Britain and Australia. He has been a member of the VCAA Classical Studies Study Design Advisory Panel and text selection committee member for Classical Studies. Greg was a member of the 2016- 2020 VCE History Study Design Advisory Panel and writer of the Advice for Teachers Units 2 – 4 VCE History: Ancient Egypt. In 2015 he wrote an article for the HTAV journal Agora (Issue 3) on Theban Tomb 100 and provides lectures and tutorials to a range of schools throughout Victoria on behalf of Victorian Curriculum Assessment Authority, History Teachers Association of Australia and Victoria and for the History Council of Victoria’s Annual Roadshow. He has taught all History classes at Geelong College from Years 7 – 12, is a tennis coach for various Senior Boys’ Teams and has led several History Tours of Russia, France, Greece, Italy, Germany and Belgium.
