Your family comes first, please discuss your intentions with them.

Should you decide to include the College in your Will, here's what you’ll need to know:

What to Include in Your Will

To ensure your gift reaches us without confusion or delay, please use the following details:

  • Legal Name: The Geelong College Foundation Limited
  • ABN: 27 006 718 458
  • Address: 150 Noble Street, Newtown VIC 3220

Suggested Wording

You may wish to use the following clause when drafting or updating your Will:

  • “I give [the sum of $___ / __% of my estate / the residue of my estate] to The Geelong College Foundation (ABN: 27 006 718 458) of 150 Noble Street, Newtown VIC 3220, for its general purposes (or specify a purpose). The receipt of an authorised officer of the College shall be a complete discharge to my executors.”

We recommend seeking legal advice to ensure your Will reflects your intentions accurately.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why leave a bequest to The Geelong College Foundation?

Leaving a lasting legacy to The Geelong College or The Geelong College Foundation means you are actively contributing to the outstanding educational opportunities for our students in the future. A bequest is a meaningful way of acknowledging your connection to the College.

Can I choose what I want my bequest used for?

Ideally, we would prefer bequests be left to The Geelong College Foundation for use at its discretion for the benefit of The Geelong College, however a bequest should be made to reflect your wishes.  If you choose to leave a bequest to The Geelong College, you can direct it to be used at the Principal’s discretion or you could specify it be directed to the Scholarship Fund or the Building Fund.

If you are considering making a gift in your Will, we encourage you to have a confidential discussion with Nicole Roache our Marketing and Advancement Manager who will assist you in providing guidance about how your intentions can best be achieved.
